Tickets

Sections 100 & 101 in the northeast corner of the stadium are allocated to visiting supporters who should contact Marcus Myrick at the Rapids box office on 303-727-3541 or by email at mmyrick@dsgpark.com to purchase. Often the Rapids set up a dedicated webpage for visiting supporters buy tickets, please contact Marcus or your own club for details.

Airport

Denver International Airport (DEN), known locally as 'DIA', is located about 25 miles northeast of Denver & is one of the best connected airports in the country with direct flights to all MLS team cities. Denver is a base for United, Frontier & Southwest although all the other major US airlines offer flights via various hubs.

To / From Airport

A cab to the downtown area will cost about $60. Drivers must charge the published fixed fare which is set by the city. Shared shuttle rides are also available, operated by the likes of SuperShuttle costing around $17 one-way & $28 return for a trip downtown.

In addition, RTD Denver skyRide Route AF connects the airport with the downtown area every hour for $11 one-way or $20 return. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes & the bus drops of at various locations downtown.

Hotel

The BSG recommends those looking for truly great trip to Denver stay in a downtown hotel. Whilst the cheapest (& closest to the stadium at 2 miles) hotels are located in the former Stapleton Airport area on Quebec Street, they are surrounded by a small selection of drive-thrus & not much else. It is well worth spending the extra few dollars to be within walking distance of the nightlife & all the city has to offer. The BSG has negotiated special MLS supporters rates at the following downtown hotels:

Hotel Room Type Price Notes
Courtyard Denver Downtown
Double / Twin $113.70
($99 + Tax)
Quote corporate code JGC.
Residence Inn Denver City Center
Double / Twin $113.70
($99 + Tax)
Quote corporate code JGC. Rate includes breakfast.
Ramada Denver Downtown
Double / Twin $96.56
($84.15 + Tax)
Advance purchase rate

The Courtyard & the Residence Inn both feature complimentary Wifi access & iHome devices in all rooms, where you can play music or recharge that iPhone or iPod!

Transit

Public transit including bus & light rail services is provided by RTD Denver.

Taxies

Three main taxi companies serve the city (including the airport) & all cabs now accept Visa. Please phone:

Metro Taxi (orange & white cars) - 303-333-3333
Union Taxi (orange cars) - 303-922-2222
Yellow Cab (yellow cars) - 303-777-7777

Before the Game

Denver's best two soccer bars are the British Bulldog and the Three Lions. Both are located downtown and are open early for all the Europpean games at the weekends.

The bars are also home to the BSG who run matchday buses to & from Dick's Sporting Goods Park. The BSG invites all visiting fans to take part in the matchday experience, details can be found here. Alternatively the BSG would be happy to provide details of alternative bars depending on which hotel(s) visiting supporters are staying in. Please contact us for details.

If you have at least 30 people, it may be cost effective for the BSG to provide a dedicated bus to / from the stadium at discounted rates. Please Contact Us for details.

Tailgate

The BSG welcomes visiting supporters to its tailgate located in the West VIP Parking Lot (directly across from the Cantina on the south side of the stadium) which starts 3 hours before every home game kick-off. If visiting fans choose to ride the buses, all tailgate food & drink is included in the price. As we can't take donations at the park from visiting fans simply showing up, we encourage you to enter the raffle to win Rapids merchandize, tickets are $5.

If a visiting supporters group brings sufficient number of fans or wishes for / requires a separate tailgate (normally located in Parking Lot BB), we can lend equipment & provide food / drink at discounted prices & assist in set up. Please Contact Us for details.

After the Game

The 16th Street Mall is the centerpiece of the downtown area & caters mainly for tourists & families. If you are in search of spots to party the night away, the BSG recommends you head for the Lower Downtown (known locally as 'LoDo') area surrounding Coors Field baseball stadium where a wide choice of bars & nightclubs is located.

As well as 19th & Blake Street, another entertainment area is located a couple of blocks away at 15th & Larimer Street.
