Visiting Supporters Invitation |
The Colorado Rapids Bulldog Supporters Group would like to welcome supporters of teams visiting Denver for matches against the Rapids.
We believe that visiting fans add significantly to the atmosphere before, during & after Rapids games. Because of this, we have decided to introduce a policy to allow visiting supporters to be involved our BSG matchday experience.
So what's the deal?
Visiting supporters are free to have a drink with us one of the BSG's pre-game bars, either the British Bulldog or the Three Lions. For a guest fee of $20, you can ride the BSG organized buses to & from downtown Denver to Dick's Sporting Good Park & attend the BSG tailgate party. All tailgate food & drink (including a beer on the bus) is included. Buses usually depart 3½ hours before the game & will arrive back at the Bulldog / Three Lions about an hour after the full time whistle.
I have my own transport to / from DSG Park, can I still join in?
Yes - visiting supporters may show up & join the BSG tailgate, located in the West VIP Parking Lot (directly across from the Cantina on the south side of the stadium). As we can't take donations at the park, we encourage you to enter the raffle to win Rapids merchandize, tickets are $5.
Can you sell visiting supporters tickets?
Unfortunately we cannot sell visiting supporters tickets as the BSG members watch games from the supporters terrace, which is for home fans only. Please purchase tickets directly from the Colorado Rapids & ask for the visiting supporters section.
Can you deal with large groups of visiting supporters?
Whilst we can accommodate small groups who show up on the day, if you an organizer of a large (30+ people) group please contact us in advance so we can make any necessary arrangements. In the unlikely event we can't accommodate your group, we would be delighted to assist with any alternative pregame arrangements.
Are all visiting fans welcome?
Like most MLS supporters groups, the BSG does not condone violence in any shape or form. If you are here to support your team, the MLS & USA soccer in general you will be made to feel welcome.
It's a trap, right?
No it's not a trap! No harm will come to you, unless you count the hangover next day.
So why are we bothering with this?
As we live here, we know our city & our club better than anyone else, just like you know yours. We were kind of hoping that, when it is our turn to visit your city & club, you would return the favor & in particular the advice. No one wants to be stuck in a hotel that sucks in the middle of nowhere due to not knowing where the best places are. We want to make travelling away from home an awesome experience & help build a big tradition of people doing this in the MLS, just like in Europe.
Another point is that visiting supporters offer a unique view on their team & often have plenty of opinions about it too. Talking to you guys pre-game is a much better way to find out about the opposition than wading through pages on the internet or by watching MLS preview shows!
